Job Description – Industrial Maintenance Electrician We are currently looking for Industrial Maintenance Electricians to work for one of our clients located in Guelph. This is a long term permanent position. Job Description You will be responsible in maintaining electrical equipment. Your job will require you to repair damaged systems, replace any faulty parts and take all necessary preventative measures to ensure optimal production.
Main Duties:
- PLC, Robot & HMI programming, implementation and troubleshooting
- Preventative maintenance of Injection/RIM assembly automation and paint systems
- Repair of equipment, modify robot programs when required
- Design, verification and maintenance of electrical schematics
- Assist in setting up and maintaining programming, electrical component and schematics standards
- Assist in proper maintenance of all programming software and application files and programming hardware
- General Electrical duties
- Completion of all required work orders and associated paperwork
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Provincial Electricians Ticket (309A or 442-A)
- Controls & Automation Technician experience an asset
- Grade 12 English and Math or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician
- Must have strong knowledge of PLCs, robot and HMI programming
- Proven experience performing electrical/electronic troubleshooting of equipment
- Must be capable of interpreting and designing electrical schematics
- Must have proven ability and experience completing electrical installation work including: control wiring, conduit, power wiring and mcc work
- Demonstrated skill in technical documentation
- Proven mechanical and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with Fanuc, Sepro and ABB Robotics
- Must be computer literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Must be results and team oriented
- Must be safety conscious and reliable
Pay Rate and Work Hours:
You will be required to work on 2 week shift rotation between all three shifts:
Days 7am to 3pm, Afternoons 3pm to 11pm, Nights 11pm to 7am
Shift Premium: Afternoons 0.45 cents, Nights 0.75 cents
Overtime will be paid at 1.5x on weekdays and 2x on Sunday after working a 40 hour week
